uAvionix Receives tailBeaconX STC

Begins Shipping Pre Orders Throughout North America, With EU, UK to Follow After STC Validation Abroad

With its STC complete, uAvionix has announced the immediate shipment of the newest iteration of the firm's tailBeaconX, a streamlined solution that combines equipment like ADS-B-OUT, a Mode S transponder, SBAS GPS, and an LED position light for a variety of light and experimental aircraft.

The tailBeaconX is shipping now, with an Approved Model List containing over 550 aircraft make and models suitable for the STC. The expansive list means that almost any light aircraft - including light twins - can take advantage of the streamlining possible with the nifty all-in-one system. Owners of the major models like Cessna, Piper, Mooney, Beechcraft, and more are ready for installation, with more on the way in the coming months.

Canadian operators will be able to use 336 of the models on the FAA AML, those Aircraft whose type certificates were accepted in Canada without the issuance of an equivalent TCCA type certificate.

STC validation for 56 more models has been filed with Transport Canada, and should result in even more approvals according to uAvionix.

Now that the tailBeaconX is approved, those with outstanding pre-orders will see them shipped immediately for those residing in the US,Canada, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. As soon as the STC validation for the UK, Brazil, and EASA, then those orders will be fulfilled. Current owners of the UAT tailBeacon, skyBeacon, or echoUAT can still take advantage of the uAvionix trade-up program to defray the cost of the latest and greatest iteration.
