"Clearly our preparations were based on the plan to evacuate any plane that could fly. With the storm being downgraded, I expected a lot less damage than we had. I'm very shocked at the amount of damage we sustained."

Source: Paul Phillips, manager of St. Lucie International Airport, in an interview with the Palm Beach Post. Phillips described the damage to his airport caused by Hurricane Frances as "catastrophic" and estimates it could cost up to $40 million to repair or replace.
