FAA Approves Bell 407 Tail Rotor Fan Shaft

Replacement Part By Able Engineering Only OEM Part Alternative, Company Says

The FAA has awarded Able Aerospace approval of a new tail rotor fan shaft replacement part (PMA) for the Bell 407 aircraft. The new PMA is the industry’s only OEM part alternative, meeting the highest industry safety standards a significant cost savings.

“Able strives to always be the best value alternative in the industry, and this latest PMA supports that mission. It allows us to add yet another superior FAA approved solution to the Bell 407 supply chain,” said Greg Guidera, Director of Business Development for Able Aerospace, in a news release.

The tail rotor fan shaft (Able part number 4AA-040-320-103) is a component of the Bell tail rotor fan shaft assembly. It replaces Bell part number 407-040-320-103. Able replacement parts are immediately available at a significant savings. Combined with Able’s other PMA and repair solutions, this new FAA approval provides  operators with a single source for continuing to drive down the cost of Bell 407 maintenance.
