The Winner! Netherlands Man Claims Sporty's Sweepstakes Skyhawk

Student Pilot Trains In US, Attends Shuttle Launches

Frank Coster of Maasdam, Netherlands is the proud owner of the latest airplane given away by Sporty's Pilot Shop. Coster travelled from his Netherlands home along with friend Angela Kerkvliet to the company's Batavia, OH headquarters recently to accept the keys to the 2005 Sporty's Sweepstakes Cessna 172SP, the 20th aircraft to be given away by the company.

Coster is a student pilot who travels to the US several times a year to train at Titusville, FL's Space Coast Regional Airport (TIX.) In addition to flying, Coster is also fascinated with space travel, and has attended a number of space shuttle launches, according to a Sporty's release.

In addition to flying their airplane for the first time, Coster and Kerkvliet got to experience the weekly Saturday fly-in at Clermont County Airport, and also toured the Tri-State Warbird Museum located at the airport.

Plans are now underway for the 2006 Sporty's Sweepstakes, in which a new Garmin G1000-equipped Skyhawk SP will be presented to the victor on September 13, 2006.
