We’re almost to the big day! Saturday Flight Live is just around the corner to close out this week at Sun ‘n FUN 2025. The air show just keeps getting better and better, and today is no exception. We’ve got our A-team on deck, so stay tuned for a beautiful sunny day and some of the best flying you’ll ever see.

Steve Boser of Sensenich Propeller made his way out to the dais to walk us through their latest work: New propellers and STCs for certified aircraft, like their 2-blade Lycoming O-360 STOL prop. That’s great news to Cessna 172 owners, improving their performance, takeoff, and climb with enough adjustment to dial it in just right for their own plane. Boser says their C-172 STC is just the start, with future releases planned for other engines in the model range and a number of popular aircraft past that. They aren’t giving up on their bread and butter, either - Sensenich will keep supporting its original core mission of keeping classic aircraft airworthy. Their wood props remain a lasting part of the Sensenich portfolio, and that isn’t changing any time soon - but Sensenich has its sights set on bringing their composite propellers to a whole new market in certified aircraft.

Next up is Clayton Wheaton of DirectFly USA. They’ve got good news to shoppers, with the addition of a 120-horsepower Edge Performance engine and an all-new panel with more room for avionics than ever before. Flight schools get some really good news too, with better support and quicker turnaround times for parts shipments to help keep the fleet flying. The Alto NG fleet can now request parts directly through DirectFly USA, allowing owners to repair their aircraft’s fairings, wingtips, cowlings, and bodywork with factory support. That means all replacement parts are quickly shipped and arrive color-matched to the serial number, minimizing downtime for everyone. Wheaton took an unusual path to getting his ratings, deciding to put the cost of a Part 141 training experience into a shiny new Alto NG instead. It’s proven to be a good choice for him, allowing him to log 350 hours this year, with a goal of hitting 1,000 by 2026. 

After that, Adriana Barragan of FlyOrka, a flight training application to help pilots tackle fun, memorable, and productive flights. Instructors and students can review each flight, trace their ground track and performance metrics to assess their own performance and play back their work. Those tracks end up in an animated logbook, which can be shared, spread, analyzed, and inspected throughout the FlyOrka community. It’s not just everyday fixed-wing flight training, either. Smaller communities focused on niche types of flying, like formation flight, seaplane operations, or the special missions can find a home on FlyOrka, too. They too can share and dissect their experiences with their fellows, and sharpen each others’ steel in one app. 

But, for today, we’ve got the TITAN Aerobatic Team, the Red Bull Air Force, and a whole slate of Air Force and Navy planes on deck. Whether you want to see some Super Hornets, Falcons, Lightning, or Corsairs, they’re all here today.
