Cessna Helps Florida's Hurricane Victims

Sends $10,000 For Relief Efforts

Cessna Aircraft Company has presented The Salvation Army of Orlando (FL) with a check for $10,000 to aid those facing the destruction left by the recent hurricanes. Walter Berchtold, General Manager of Cessna's Orlando Citation Service Center, personally presented the check to The Salvation Army's Laurelie Hagen.

"The hurricanes that have hit the East Coast have devastated many lives, some of which are Cessna employees or customers," said Jack J. Pelton, Cessna's president and CEO. "Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those who have been affected by this natural disaster."

As a national first responder to disaster, The Salvation Army in Florida has mobilized all of its equipment including 43 mobile feeding units to provide initial assessment and emergency relief in the affected areas. The Salvation Army also has several mass feeding units, refrigeration units, shower and sleeping trailers that are used during any long term clean up efforts.
