Lightspeed Aviation Aids Bob Hoover Memorial Programmming

Lightspeed Aviation Steps Up To Help ANN Commemorate The Life of an Extraordinary Aviator

There was a time in aviation when the only way to hear and talk on a radio or an intercom was to where headsets made of a hard plastic and use a handheld microphone. That has changed in a big way, and a major player in bringing that about is a company called Lightspeed Aviation.

Lightspeed Aviation was launched with a simple mission: to design and build the quietest, most comfortable aviation headsets in the world for the professional or general aviation pilot. With the unveiling of their first product, at the 1996 EAA AirVenture, which was the K series ANR headset, they set a new standard. The Lightspeed Aviation 20K set the bar for what was possible in aviation headsets.

Setting the standard quickly became a tradition at Lightspeed. After the K series, the XL series introduced Auto Shutoff, the 3Gs brought wired music and cell phone, along with intercom priority muting and a treble/bass EQ setting. And now... the new Tango series has set THE standard for what is to be expected of the next-generation in aviaion headsets.

Lightspeed is evolving to take advantage of the many opportunities the future holds. Lightspeed remembers their past proudly as they continually look to the future. And that’s what they are doing by helping with our ability to remember Bob Hoover, a great aviator of the past, whose character and deeds shine a light to the future.
