Export-Import Bank Of The U.S. Awards Five-Year Contract To IBA

International Bureau Of Aviation Will Provide Inspections, Oversight

IBA is one of three firms to be awarded a new 5-year contract by Ex-Im Bank to provide aircraft inspections and airline oversight across its portfolio of commercial and corporate aircraft and helicopters. The award also covers the provision of aircraft appraisals and training services. IBA has now held this prestigious contract continuously for the past fifteen years.

The award, which has a maximum potential value of $1.2 Million, requires IBA to:

  • Visit airlines as directed by Ex-Im Bank.
  • Perform technical audits on, aircraft and records.
  • Complete operational performance reviews of airlines.

In the event of airline default or bankruptcy, IBA is also required to provide rapid response teams to manage Ex-Im's interests and protect the aircraft.

As ISTAT Certified Appraisers, IBA is expertly qualified to support Ex-Im Bank's requirements for aircraft valuations covering all US-manufactured commercial and corporate aircraft and helicopters as well as engines and spare parts.

Owen Geach, Commercial Director for IBA and contract relationship manager for Ex-Im Bank stated "We are very proud to have been once again selected by Ex-Im Bank to provide technical support and related support services. This bears testimony to our ability to provide comprehensive asset management services to the aviation industry and at times in challenging situations."
