Four Receive Master Instructor Designation In September

National Accreditation Recognized By The FAA

Four instructors have renewed their Master Instructor designation in the month of September.

Master Instructors LLC said in a news release that all were accredited as Masters by Master Instructors LLC, the international Master Instructor accrediting authority. All obtained their designation through the Master Instructor "Fluid Review" program online.

Professional aviation educators who earned or renewed their "Master" title during September, 2017 are:

Matthew Robert "Matt" D'Angelo, Master CFI,  Spring Lake Heights, NJ
Matthew R. D'Angelo, a 2-time Master and SAFE member, earned his Master CFI accreditation Aug. 31. Matt ( www.FlyingJourney.com ) is a flight instructor with Monmouth Area Flying Club ( http://www.FlyMAFC.com/ ) at Lakewood Airport (N12) where he specializes in tailwheel, primary and instrument flight training with an emphasis on stick and rudder skills. Additionally, he is an EAA Young Eagles pilot and serves as a FAASTeam representative in the Teterboro FSDO area. Email:  Matt@FlyingJourney.com

Matthew R. D'Angelo David Pepitone

David "Dave" Pepitone, Master Aviation Educator, Polvadera, NM
David Pepitone, a 1st-time Master and SAFE member, earned his Master Aviation Educator (MAE) accreditation Sept. 21. A long time flight instructor, pilot, and aviation educator, Dave is a glider instructor and check pilot with the New Mexico Wing of the Civil Air Patrol ( http://NMCAP.us ) Additionally, he is a recent recipient of the FAA's coveted Wright Brothers Master Pilot award. Matthew Christian "Matt" Plourde, Master CFI, Arlington,MA  (Initial: 21Sep17)
Matthew C. Plourde, a 1st-time Master and SAFE member, earned his Master CFI (MCFI) accreditation September 21. A former instructor pilot and flight supervisor at Daytona Beach's Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) campus, Matt is now in first officer training with Piedmont Airlines ( http://www.Piedmont-Airlines.com/ ). Russell Frederick "Russ" Still, Master CFI, Stoney Point Airfield, Cumming, GA
Russell F. Still, a 7-time Master and SAFE member, renewed his Master CFI accreditation Sept. 16. A noted aviation educator and published author, Russ is the president of Atlanta Flight Inc ( http://OnLineGroundSchool.com/ ) at Gwinnett County Airport (LZU) where he specializes in primary and instrument instruction as well as ground training development and instruction. Many of the most recent National Flight Instructors of the Year or National FAASTeam Representatives of the Year were Master CFIs. In addition, the FAA has approved the accreditation as an alternate means for CFIs to renew their flight instructor certificates.
