Wheels Up Selects Skyservice As Exclusive Sales Agent In Canada

Canada's 'Busiest FBO' To Handle Sales

Wheels Up, a revolutionary membership-based private aviation company, has appointed Skyservice, Canada’s " busiest fixed-base operator (FBO)," as its exclusive Sales Agent for Canada. Skyservice will sell the Wheels Up total aviation flight solution, including the King Air 350i, to Canadian customers through its operations in Toronto, Montreal and Calgary. The announcement was made today by Kenny Dichter, Founder and CEO of Wheels Up, and Marshall Myles, President and CEO of Skyservice.

Tapping into the offering of its closed-fleet of Beechcraft King Air 350i aircraft, Wheels Up and Skyservice predict significant demand for flights between Canada and the United States. Wheels Up forged an exclusive partnership with Beechcraft in August 2013 through a groundbreaking order of 105 King Air 350i aircraft, valued in excess of $1.4 billion, including support agreements. According to Dichter, Wheels Up member flights commenced in November 2013 following the delivery of the first of nine aircraft delivered in 2013, while an additional 26 King Air 350i aircraft will be delivered to Wheels Up between now and mid-2015. With the Beechcraft King Air 350i’s versatility, Wheels Up members can book flights to and from Toronto’s Billy Bishop City Centre Airport conveniently located in downtown Toronto, providing a significant savings in overall travel time.

“Canada is a strong and exciting market for Wheels Up, particularly trans-border flights from major cities like Toronto and Montreal, to key destinations including New York, Boston, and Chicago,” said Mr. Dichter. “Working with Skyservice, a leader in the industry, we know our members will receive the highest level of customer service, and we are happy to add Skyservice to our growing list of exceptional partners.”

“We share Kenny’s enthusiasm for the Wheels Up model and are excited to be the first partner in Canada,” said Mr. Myles. “Exclusive access to the Beechcraft King Air 350i aircraft, among other Wheels Up product offerings, will fill a void in the marketplace. The Beechcraft King Air 350i is the perfect aircraft for flights between Canada and the United States, one of the most traveled routes we see from both Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop City Center Airport.”
