Aero-TV At SnF21: Let’s ‘Leave At The Top Of Our Game’

"I'm Just Going To Shift Gears A Little Bit..."

Good friends Jim Campbell, Aero-News' Editor-In-Chief, and SnF Boss "Lites" Leenhouts, soon to be retired CEO/President of Sun n' Fun, took a quick moment out of the hustle and bustle of their 2021 Holiday Festival to talk about John's impending career change.

"I'm just going to shift gears a little bit," said Leenhouts. "The desire right now is to enjoy the glory years that are in front of my wife and I... Let's take a page out of Peyton Manning's playbook and leave at the top of our game,” he said regarding the end of his tenure as Sun n’ Fun president. "Every organization needs new blood, and I gotta move to other fun things instead of coming into the office every day."

Leenhouts is working with headhunters to find the perfect candidate to lead the next phase of the organization's growth, but finding a suitable replacement is a tall order: Sun n' Fun is a conflux of education, aviation, safety, and sincere love for aviation. The search should be complete by early 2022, and the baton will be passed through the lead up to next year's bash. Sun n' Fun is only getting bigger and better, according to Leenhouts. In his tenure he has seen tremendous growth in educational programs, business support, and safety research, they’re only getting started.

Aero-TV is a production of the Internationally syndicated Aero-News Network.
