New Dealer Named For Husky A-1C

Sales Region Covers The East Coast From Delaware To Georgia

Premier Aircraft Sales has become a dealer for Aviat Aircraft's Husky A-1C. The announcement was made by Stu Horn, President of Aviat Aircraft.

"Most pilots today have never experienced the tremendous fun of flying a taildragger," says Fred Ahles, president, Premier Aircraft Sales; Inc."I began my career at a small, country airport where a taildragger was the norm and not the exception.

"That's why I'm so excited about representing the Husky A-1C now. These Huskys have little resemblance to the old taildraggers I grew up with. Huskys are state-of-the-art, comfortable and built with the highest quality of fit and finish."

Premier Aircraft Sales will sell and service the Husky in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, North and South Carolina and Georgia. The company, founded in 2003, has rapidly expanded into a leadership position in GA aircraft sales.  With 43 employees and offices in Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Atlanta and Auburn, Alabama, Premier currently represents Diamond and Mooney aircraft in a territory covering 14 Southeastern states from Maryland to Florida to Texas. Premier has Mooney and Diamond Authorized Service Centers and offers a large inventory of late model used aircraft.

The versatile Husky A-1C is available with normal or tundra tires, straight or amphibious floats and straight or retractable skis. The A-1C can be purchased with a 160, 180, or 200 hp Lycoming engine and an aluminum or composite propeller. The two-place, high wing Husky has the largest useful load in its class with 925 pounds as the result of a recent increase to 2,200 pound gross weight capability. The Husky has a cruising range of 50 to 140 mph and has STOL performance. Its mission profiles cover a wide range from fly fishing and cross country, to border patrol and cargo flights.

Aviat Aircraft manufactures the Husky, Pitts Special, and kits for the Eagle aerobatic biplane.
