GateOne Expands To California

CEO Purchases JetWest FBO At Salinas For Fifth Facility

Thomas Mathew, President and CEO of GateOne, announced his purchase of JetWest, the FBO at Salinas Municipal Airport (KSNS) in California, marking the fifth facility in the GateOne family of FBOs.

Mathew said he has merged JetWest into the GateOne family and will operate under the name JetWest GateOne, the first one in California and the fifth overall. GateOne provides premier FBO services to aviation communities across the Western U.S. with other facilities in Chandler, Arizona, San Antonio, Texas, Gillette, Wyoming, and Cedar City, Utah.

Recognizing JetWest as a fixture at KSNS since 1976, GateOne plans to continue its reputation for outstanding service and customer satisfaction.

Speaking about the acquisition, Mathew said, “I am excited about this new venture and look forward to merging GateOne and JetWest. I expect a seamless transition as our well-trained staff—deeply familiar with the needs of the Salinas aviation community and its customers—will advance the impeccable reputation JetWest cultivated throughout its 40+ year history.”

Under the new facility’s General Manager Ryan Gauger, the FBO will offer red-carpet service, comfortable lounges for pilots and passengers, a well-equipped gym, rental cars and courtesy vehicles, and on-demand aircraft detailing. The facility also has a 6,400 square foot heated hangar able to accommodate any mid-size jet model.

Mathew continued, “My team and I are thrilled to join the Salinas community and eager to offer GateOne’s top-notch services and amenities,”. “Equipped with extensive industry knowledge and experience, we are committed to delivering safe, reliable and unparalleled service to our customers.”
