Three Motorcycle Company Execs Fatally Injured In Emergency Landing Attempt

Founder And President, Two Other Company Officers Lost In Crash

The founder and president of U.S. Highland, a motorcycle company based in Mounds, OK, was fatally injured along with the company's chief operating officer and chief financial officer when the Cessna 421 they were flying went down after declaring an emergency Saturday night.

Official have identified those killed as president Mats Malmberg, COO Charles Bales, and CFO Damian Riddoch.

Multiple media sources including Bloomberg Business Week report the trio was returning from a business trip to Detroit when the accident occurred. Bales was flying the 421, and had requested an emergency landing at Tulsa International. But the airplane went down in a wooded area near the airport. The reason for the emergency landing request was not disclosed.

“This is a human tragedy beyond imagination,” U.S. highland  Chief Executive Officer Steven Moell said in the statement. “They were all true visionaries and will be deeply missed.”
