Tempus CEO Receives Harrison Ford Aviation Legacy Award

Scott Terry Recognized For His Work With Global Flight Relief

Tempus Applied Solutions Holdings Inc. is pleased to announce that its CEO, Scott Terry, was awarded the Harrison Ford Aviation Legacy Award at the 13th annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards in Beverly Hills on Friday, January 22. The award's namesake, Harrison Ford, chose Mr. Terry as the recipient and presented him the award. Mr. Terry was recognized for his work with nonprofit organization, Global Flight Relief.

Founded in 2011 by Mr. Terry, Global Flight Relief was established in order to provide an integrated aviation organization dedicated to disaster relief, humanitarian aid and emergency response. The 501(c)(3) has provided airlift support services, in conjunction with other organizations, to deliver food, medical supplies and other necessities to remote villages in Africa and other war-ravaged countries.

"This award recognizes those individuals who use aviation to make the world a better place," said Harrison Ford during the award presentation. "Scott Terry is one of those people."

"This is really quite unbelievable to be standing here with all of these great aviators who truly are legends," said Terry during his acceptance speech.

Terry thanked his mentors, family and Global Flight Relief staff. "Nothing happens individually, it's all part of a team. I can provide the resources, but it's really the people on the ground who dedicate their lives to fly these relief missions," said Terry. "I appreciate them so very much."

The organization has conducted medical evacuation flights in austere conditions from remote villages in the Eastern Congo in order to deliver patients requiring surgery to HEAL Africa medical facilities in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Global Flight Relief has also provided airlift support to transport philanthropic donors from the U.S. to the DRC in order to observe the workings of nonprofits in the region.

Mr. Terry founded Global Flight Relief after more than 20 years in the aviation industry. A former naval aviator, he witnessed firsthand the atrocities to communities during political unrest in the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Terry was responsible for coordinating the first airdrops into Kosovo for Bosnian refugees in 1996.
