Special Air Traffic Procedures For NBAA-BACE

Las Vegas Area Airports Affected During Major U.S. BizAv Event

The FAA has announced special air traffic procedures for airports in the Las Vegas, Nevada, area October 18-25, 2024, to ensure safety and minimize delays in the high-traffic period associated with the National Business Aviation Association’s Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE).

The procedures will affect operations at Las Vegas Harry Reid International (KLAS), Henderson Executive (KHND), and North Las Vegas (VGT) airports. In addition, a Special Event Parking Program requirement for all operations into those airports, which must be secured through your FBO prior to your operation.

Arrival and departure procedures will be in place between Friday October 18 and Friday October 25.

Increased arrivals are expected at HND between October 17-22, with many scheduled aircraft display exhibitors for the event. IFR arrivals into HND must file one of the following arrivals:

  • From the NW:  GAMES TWO (RNAV)
  • From the NE:  BOEGY TWO (RNAV)
  • From the S/SE:  NTNDO ONE (RNAV)
  • From the S/SW:  NTNDO ONE (RNAV)

As needed, traffic management procedures may be used to evenly distribute traffic into the Las Vegas area, to include scheduled metering delays, ground stops, ground delay programs, structured routing, miles-in-trail, and altitude capping.

Flight plans should be filed at least 12, but not more than 22, hours prior to your proposed time of departure. Airborne changes of destination between LAS, HND, or VGT will not be accepted. Also, duplicate flight plans or same call sign with multiple times to these airports will be subject to removal from the system.
