Aero-TV: Phil Boyer At Oshkosh 2010 -- Enjoying A Much-Deserved Retirement

So... How Is Retirement Treating Former AOPA Boss, Phil Boyer???

Phil Boyer's retirement announcement was NOT the best news we've ever had to report... but there was no arguing with the fact that Phil deserved a break (and our thanks) after working the front lines of the GA fight for the better part of two decades. To those of us who watched aviation work its way through several decades of various trials and tribulations, Phil Boyer proved himself to be the real deal... a solid leader with some serious smarts and a true passion for the world of aviation.

When he decided to retire after nearly two decades of challenging leadership, we all felt poorer for the loss of his participation but could not deny the that the guy deserved to retire and enjoy his life the way that he wanted... free of the pressures that he lived 24/7 for all those years.

Still; when he wants to speak up, even after nearly two years absence from his leadership of the AOPA (which hasn't been the same since and seems to be drifting inexorably 'off-mission'), we're more than willing to drop everything and listen...

So... join Aero-TV for one of a series of intriguing interviews from the grounds of Oshkosh 2010 as Phil tells the ANN gang how he's enjoying his life post-retirement, do check out other parts of this series in which Phil provides advice to the newly named EAA President, Rod Hightower... as well as chats about GA's challenges for the future, and a really fun chat about one of Phil's greatest passions-- checking out the latest in aero-gadgets (Phil being one of the all time great gadget geeks).

We hope you enjoy these chats as much as we did...
