Airborne 04.21.14: Blue Angel Troubles, 8000th B737, Chelton/S-TEC Acquired

Also: Canadian CFI Fired After CNN Appearances, Forecast Says More UAVs, Funny Flt Attendant AVW, Avidyne/Trego-Dugan, Weird Georgia Military Lawsuit--Over Flightsuits, etc...

It would be harder to find a more respected Military leader than Former Blue Angel Boss, Greg McWherter... and yet, somehow, something that occurred during his two tours as the Angle has gotten him into trouble and the Navy is keeping VERY quiet on the details...

The military and airshow community dimply doesn't believe it. Boeing has just delivered the 8,000th 737 to come off the production line to United Airlines  The 737 is the first commercial airplane in history to reach this delivery milestone. The program has a strong backlog with more than 3,700 airplanes on order, including 1,934 orders for the new 737 MAX. Genesys Aerosystems Group has acquired Chelton Flight Systems, Inc. and S-TEC Corporation, previously doing business as Cobham Avionics, from Cobham in a management buyout. All this... and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
