All-In-One Flightcell SmartHUB and Camera Released

Simple One Piece Solution for Video, Audio, Flight Data Recording

Flightcell has introduced its new all-in-one recording solution, offering rotorcraft operators a simple, easy installation to provide HD video, audio, and flight data recording.

The company says the inspiration for the product came from the increasing frequency of government and public sector rotorcraft operator requests, as mandatory cockpit recording becomes the norm. The SmartHUB allows for on-aircraft data access, greatly simplifying data collection and post-flight footage review. The system doesn't just record video and audio while in flight, but a range of useful flight parameters like GPS position, altitude and speed, pressure altitude, vertical rate, turn rate, pitch, roll, and g forces experienced. Owners can specify recording in case of impacts over a specified threshold to limit false positives, should they have a more rough and tumble mission profile.

Flightcell has developed a few optimization tools for use by operators, maintainers, and flight crews in order to track pilot and aircraft performance. With the SmartHUB installed directly into the aircraft, each moment of aircraft operation can be accounted for, viewed, and analyzed post-flight, gaining the most out of every Hobbs hour. Flightcell designed the suite to be as simple as possible to install, making it a local modification and mountable in various positions for near plug and play capability. The Wi-fi access point is compatible with other company products, like the DZMx, for those requiring satcom compatibility and connectivity.
