Elite Offers Garmin GNS 430/530 GPS Option

Glass Sims!

Elite Simulation Solutions announces the availability of a Garmin GNS 430/530 option for its line of aviation training devices (ATDs). The addition of the GNS 430/530 is part of Elite's continuing commitment to expand its GPS library and provide avionics choices that are representative of what is becoming commonly available in today's increasingly high-tech GA cockpits.

The new Garmin installations will utilize the actual 430/530 hardware devices. Either of these popular GPS units can be added to existing ATDs or ordered as an integrated option for Advanced ATD system purchases. For existing systems where an integrated installation is not applicable a stand-alone version of each model equipped with a custom housing is available.

"It goes without saying that what was once thought of as tomorrow's navigation technology has become the norm of today," says Fred Zanegood, Elite Director of Marketing. "Adding the GNS 430/530 was a natural progression for us. The level of sophistication found in today's GA cockpits demands an equally sophisticated training platform/methodology. Too many pilots are flying with their heads down trying to figure out the latest black box instead of looking outside for traffic. Learning these devices before getting in the aircraft is critical. The place to become proficient in the use of these devices is on the ground. Simulation is the perfect platform for this learning."
