Lancair's Evolution To Offer Forward Vision EVS-100

Enhanced Vision System Will Be Optional

The team at Forward Vision announced Monday that Lancair International Inc. has chosen the Forward Vision EVS-100 powered by Max-Viz as an equipment option on the company's new Evolution aircraft.

Designed to cruise at 385 mph, the turboprop-powered Evolution will also offer numerous safety features -- including an optional BRS ballistic parachute, AMSAFE energy absorbing seatbelts, energy absorbing seats, and now the Forward Vision EVS-100.

"Clearly, Lancair has made the addition of safety technology to a beautiful new aircraft a top priority," said Forward Vision CEO Patrick Farrell, "and we are very pleased to participate in this process and look forward to the improved safety and performance profiles offered by this company that continues to forge new paths for our collective aviation community."

The EVS-100 is billed as a low cost, non-cryogenically cooled Enhanced Vision System for the OEM and aftermarket. The company says it offers the latest generation Long Wave Infra Red (LWIR) sensor that is sunlight safe, and has excellent grey scale to discern detail.
