NTSB Prelim: Titan Titan Tornado

A Witness Heard The Airplane Having Engine "Trouble"

On July 1, 2020, about 1915 central daylight time, a Titan Titan Tornado airplane, N5082N, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Marksville, Louisiana. The pilot and his passenger sustained serious injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight.

According to initial information from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the airplane departed from a private airstrip near LeCompte, Louisiana, on a local flight. A witness heard the airplane having engine "trouble," saw the airplane impacting a cornfield, and called 911.

The pilot and passenger were subsequently taken to a hospital. The wreckage has been allowed to be recovered and a Federal Aviation Administration inspector will examine it.
