Calhoun County EMS Will Collaborate On Trial Deployment
Jump Aero announced it has entered an agreement to collaborate with Calhoun County Emergency Management Services (EMS) to deploy on a trial basis Jump Aero’s JA1 Pulse eVTOL aircraft to test field operations.

Information gathered during the test deployment will guide decisions about future operations of Jump Aero technology in rural communities. The two parties will also work to jointly identify funding opportunities through federal programs and grants to support the deployment.
Calhoun County, situated along the Gulf coast about 80 miles northeast of Corpus Christi, is well-suited to realize benefits from the Pulse in its emergency response service since the county has numerous barrier islands with poor road access. It is also susceptible to disasters and has many remote and rural communities as well as being a destination for tourists, hunters, and nature explorers visiting remote attractions. Many areas are well out of reach of ambulances that would otherwise make a timely difference in transporting injured persons to a hospital.

Jump Aero’s aircraft enables skilled first responders to fly directly to the scene of an emergency, render immediate treatment, and conduct rapid transport to a treatment facility. The JA1 Pulse can fly one trained professional plus emergency equipment to unimproved landing zones in rural and remote areas.
Dr. J. Dustin Jenkins, Calhoun County Director of EMS said, "Calhoun County has been looking for a solution to provide timely response within our geographical challenges and this aircraft has the promise to make real difference to our residents."
Carl Dietrich, Jump Aero President and CEO commented,"We are excited to find such a great partner for our demo operations. The data we gather from initial deployment will drive our long-term operations and will provide crucial lessons learned to bring us that much closer to saving lives of rural Americans."
