Associated Air Center Gaining Momentum In VIP Completions Orders

New and Repeat Business Fuels Growing Backlog

The Large Transport Category, VIP aircraft Completions center of Standard Aero in Dallas, TX, has executed a Letter of Intent (LOI) and received a Slot Deposit from a Far East customer for upcoming/near-term VIP completion work on a new ("green") Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ).

This aircraft represents AAC's sixteenth green ACJ completion since 2003, when becoming an ACJ Authorized Completion and Service Center and represents the third aircraft based in this emerging economy country.

According to a StandardAero news release, AAC signed an agreement in early January with a repeat customer for the VIP completion of that customer's second green aircraft - a Boeing Business Jet (BBJ). This aircraft represents AAC's twenty-fourth BBJ completion since becoming an Authorized BBJ Service and Completion Center in 1998. The aircraft arrives at AAC on or about August 24, 2011 following the exterior paint application.

"We are seeing a ramp up in business, especially from previous customers," said Jack Lawless, President, Associated Air Center and Chief Operating Officer, StandardAero. "Repeat business means they liked what we did the first time. This is the kind of business we like to see; satisfied customers who recognize the quality and craftsmanship of our work and come back for more."

Interior configuration on today's ACJ announcement will consist of a host of amenities including a large galley for meal preparation; a master bedroom that easily converts into an office, with direct access to an adjacent, stand-up shower-equipped master lavatory; a separate guest quarters equipped with convertible divan/beds and direct access to their own lavatory; a state-of-the-art High-Definition (HD) In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) and Cabin Management System (CMS), and integrated SATCOM, broadband-capable communications equipment. The unique interior configuration would accommodate 19 taxi, take-off and landing (TT&L) passenger positions while still allowing for 16 fully flat sleeping passenger positions.
