China Grants CAAC Certification to H175

Airbus Finally Sees Certification for H175 in China

A popular Airbus helo will finally fly in one of the biggest markets in the world after seeing certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). First deliveries are expected this year.

The deal unlocks one of the "most demanding markets worldwide for civil helicopters with a growing need for the super-medium segment", with at least 4 aircraft on track to be tendered to Chinese customers by the end of 2023. The certification comes after 8 years on the market for one of Airbus' better sellers, with the H175 building up a steady market in the public service sector. So far, the world fleet of 53 aircraft has racked up more than 185,000 flight hours in 13 countries.

“The Chinese certification of the H175 is another great achievement in the continued successful partnership between Airbus Helicopters and the Chinese helicopter industry,” said Bruno Even, CEO of Airbus Helicopters.

“The H175’s advanced state-of-the art performances and reliability will serve to provide the people of China with the ability to perform critical life-saving missions even in the most severe conditions,” he added.
