FAA Qualifies First Pilatus PC-24 Full Flight Simulator

Level C FFS To Be Located In Dallas, TX

The first full flight simulator for the new PC-24 Super Versatile Jet has received interim Level C qualification from the FAA. The new FlightSafety FS1000 simulator is expected to be qualified by the European Aviation Safety Agency early next year. Training is scheduled to begin at FlightSafety’s Learning Center in Dallas, Texas during the first quarter of 2018.

“We are pleased to announce the FAA qualification of the first Pilatus PC-24 simulator,” said Bruce Whitman, FlightSafety chairman, president & CEO. “We appreciate all those who have contributed to this significant milestone in the development of this new training program and look forward to serving Pilatus PC-24 owners and operators around the world.”

André Zimmermann, VP PC-24 Jet at Pilatus, added: “We are excited to see the training device getting ready on time for the first customer training. Both teams at FlightSafety and Pilatus have worked hard to achieve this important milestone. Our partnership with FlightSafety will provide state of the art - Crystal Class - training to our customers."

FlightSafety’s simulation engineers and courseware developers have worked closely with Pilatus to develop the PC-24 simulator and training programs. The simulator is equipped with FlightSafety’s latest advances in technology including the VITAL 1100 visual system, electric motion and control loading, and new Instructor Operating Station.

The pilot and maintenance technician training programs will also utilize MATRIX, FlightSafety’s Integrated Training System. It offers Graphical Flight Deck Simulators for instructor-led and self-paced learning, Desk Top simulators used in classroom instruction, and the SimVu simulator flight de-briefing system. Pilatus PC-24 operators will also benefit from the new FlightBag App.  It offers features that increase the effectiveness of courseware material delivery, presentation, and use. The App also serves as an excellent resource for post-course review and reference.
