Embraer Claims Top Spot In Executive Aviation Growth

One In Every Five Executive Jets Delivered In 2010 Was Made By Embraer

According to data from GAMA, Embraer showed the most growth in the executive aviation market in 2010. The company delivered 145 executive jets during the year, an increase of 23 aircraft over 2009, which was the highest, in absolute terms, among all manufacturers. Embraer’s 2010 market share reached 19%, or almost one in every five executive jets delivered worldwide was produced by Brazilian planemaker.

“Embraer holds a strong commitment to business aviation and spares no efforts to surpass customer expectations,” said Luís Carlos Affonso, Embraer Executive Vice President, Executive Jets. “With this in mind, we have launched six new jet models over the past six years, in order to offer quality products and services that flexibly meet the needs of each type of customer.”

The entry level Phenom 100 was the world’s most delivered executive jet, with 100 units delivered during the year. The Phenom 300, with 26 delivered, was at the top of the list in the light jet category, not a bad accomplishment for an airplane in its first year in the market. The Legacy family, which includes the recently-FAA-certified Legacy 650 made 11 deliveries. The ultra-large Lineage 1000, which is the biggest executive jet made by Embraer, and the corporate versions based on the commercial E-Jets platform, totaled eight deliveries. Embraer says all of these contributed to making it the company that showed the greatest growth in the executive aviation market.
