CSI Aviation Services Joins 'Con Air'

Leases Seven Aircraft to US Marshals Service for Prisoner Transportation

CSI Aviation Services Inc. d/b/a Charter Services (CSI) has been awarded the lease of seven aircraft for the United States Marshals Service for prisoner transportation and illegal alien deportation.

The contract is with United States Department of Justice to provide MD82 and 727 aircraft, insurance and maintenance to the U.S. Marshals Service's Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System (JPATS).

The aircraft will be based in Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arizona. CSI will also be responsible for complete aircraft maintenance during this period, as well as certain ground services.

"We are pleased to continue our longstanding business relationship between CSI and the U.S. Marshals Service," said CSI's COO Chip Parker. "We take our leasing and maintenance work very seriously and are looking forward to increasing our support of the JPATS efforts."

CSI Aviation Services has been a U.S. Department of Justice contractor since 1989, and has a proven record in providing 24-hour, 7-day-a-week air charter management services. The company has provided aircraft for complex on-demand operations, including international missions, for several other federal agencies including the Department of Energy, the Department of Interior and numerous Fortune 500 companies.

Founded in 1979, privately held CSI Aviation Services Inc. is the oldest and largest air charter management company of its kind in the United States. The company has long-established relationships with aircraft leasing companies, airlines and Part 135 operators, giving it unique access to thousands of aircraft throughout North America and internationally. CSI's ability to support customer requirements ranging from aircraft for one person to large groups requiring multiple aircraft, as well as aircraft for cargo and material, has made it a preferred supplier to numerous companies and governmental organizations worldwide.
