TC'd (Down Under): CubCrafter Top Cub

Australia Issues Type Certificate For The CC18-180 Top Cub

CubCrafters is crowing about a recent Australian approval. The CC18-180 TOP CUB has received Type Certification from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority. This certification allows new, certified, ready-to-fly Cubs to be delivered to customers in Australia for the first time ever. The CC18-180 was certified in the US in Dec. 2004, and has now been approved on floats and wheels in Canada and Australia as well.

With a useful load of 1100 lbs and its combined versatility and utility, the TOP CUB is the ideal vehicle for work or recreation in Australia. The optional Wipline 2100 Amphibious Floats make even the most remote hunting and fishing destinations available for pilots of this modern “Cub”. Tundra tires in sizes of up to 35” are approved, and the optional cargo belly pod allows numerous options for up to 350 Lbs of cargo in addition to two people and full fuel.
