named David J. Copeland Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

named David J. Copeland Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
"We are pleased to welcome David to Mooney. He will be
responsible for all sales and marketing functions as well as the
product and customer support," Mooney President J. Nelson Happy.
"David comes to us with 26 years of aviation industry experience
having worked with Piper, Rockwell, Grumman, Cessna, Hawker and
most recently, Beechcraft where he served as the Vice President of
Worldwide Sales."
Copeland graduated from Wichita State University and is an Airline
Transport Rated Pilot with over 4,900 hours. David has both
domestic and international experience and brings a track record of
success to Mooney. "My goal is to exceed the level of expectation
of every Mooney owner and customer, Mooney has a great history of
producing the fastest most efficient and safest aircraft in the
industry," Copeland stated.
David comes from a flying family that is well known in the
aviation circle. The Copeland Family has represented several
general aviation manufactures while owning an airport and FBO
operation in Wichita (KS). David's father taught him to fly and his
mother was also an accomplished aviator known for her work with the
99's and air racing. David is married to wife Kelli and they have
three boys.
Nicolas Chabbert, formerly Executive Vice President for Sales
and Marketing, has accepted a new assignment as Vice President of
Business Development for Mooney.
"We are very pleased that Nicolas will be taking over the
leadership of our business development activities. He has done a
superb job in his prior position, but we believe that is important
to have an executive of his talents in charge of our future
products," said Happy.
"I am delighted that David Copeland has joined our sales and
marketing team. I know that he will do an outstanding job based on
his outstanding qualifications and experience," said Chabbert. "I
will now be able to devote all of my time to researching and
