Heads-Up Pilot Side Console Now Available on New R44s

A new pilot side console is now available for the Robinson R44 Raven I and Raven II.

Located above the pilot’s feet, the console places the GPS conveniently in the pilot’s field of vision. This reduces the time spent looking down at the center stack to view the GPS and places the controls of the unit in an easy to reach location. This also allows more room in the center stack for additional radios.

The pilot side console can be ordered in three different  combinations: GPS, GPS/COMM, or GPS/COMM/NAV.

The pilot side console is very easy to read and allows pilots to view the screen while continuing to see outside the helicopter using their peripheral vision.

If the Garmin GTX330 transponder is ordered in conjunction with the pilot side console, Garmin Traffic Information Service (TIS) is included. The TIS system is very helpful but currently limited to selected areas within the United States having good ground radar coverage. The pilot side console is not available with the nine or ten hole instrument consoles.
