Pratt & Whitney Canada And FlightSafety To Extend Training Agreement

FlightSafety Provides Maintenance Training For All P&WC Products

FlightSafety and Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC), have announced the expansion of their training services agreement originally signed in 2010. FlightSafety provides advanced technology-based maintenance training for all P&WC products including turboprop, turbofan, turboshaft engines as well as Auxiliary Power Units.

“We are very pleased and proud to extend our agreement with Pratt & Whitney Canada for another 10 years,” said David Davenport, Executive Vice President. “This demonstrates both companies’ commitment to enhancing aviation safety worldwide and elevating the overall training experience available to maintenance technicians supporting aircraft equipped with P&WC engines with the highest quality training and outstanding service they deserve and expect.”

“The new and expanded training agreement will allow us to offer a best-in-class training experience to our global customers for many years to come,” said Timothy Swail, Vice President, Customer Programs, P&WC. “P&WC’s expertise combined with FlightSafety's extensive network, leveraging the latest in training technologies, such as distance LiveLearning, enables us to deliver the most advanced high-tech training in the industry.”

FlightSafety provides advanced technology-based maintenance training for all P&WC products including turboprop, turbofan, turboshaft engines as well as Auxiliary Power Units. The training programs offer in-depth classroom and hands-on instruction designed to develop, expand and refine proficiency.

The maintenance training courseware and curriculum meet worldwide regulatory requirements. Leveraging new classroom technologies such as 3D computer modeling and FlightSafety’s advanced technology MATRIX, maintenance technicians work with fully integrated training systems. Full-scale systems trainers, major component cutaways, working models, maintenance task simulators and a large variety of test equipment are used to demonstrate procedures and reinforce the information learned in the classroom.

“Through establishment of new local FlightSafety-P&WC Learning Centers, FlightSafety is able to deliver training closer to our customers, serve them in their local language and in familiar surroundings,” said Swail. “These offerings, together with new e-learning technologies, will make world class factory approved training available to all customers globally.”
