Classic Aero-TV: Flying A Piece Of History -- Jerry 'Jive' Kerby at Oshkosh 2010

From 2010 (YouTube Version): Air Force Vet Lends Expertise To Team MS760 Program -- When He's Not Herding An F-4 Through The Skies!

As previously noted, the skies of Oshkosh 2010 were the host to one of the early performances of a unique two-ship formation aerobatic jet team... better known as Team MS760. One of the pilots in that two-ship formation came to the mighty environs of Wittman Field and wore a lot of hats... the most powerful of which involved his demonstrations of one of the most infamous of all the hard-core fighters... the mighty F-4 Phantom.

Lt. Colonel Jerry “Jive” Kerby is a 23-year veteran of the United States Air Force. Lt. Col Kerby graduated number one in his pilot training class for which he was the coveted F-15 Eagle training spot. After completing his time at the elite USAF Fighter Weapons School, Lt. Colonel went on to become one of the highest time F-15 pilots in USAF with over 3,400 hours flown.

During his military career, he flew seven operational tours including his service as Weapons and Tactics Officer of the 58FS Gorillas during Desert Storm. For his service, he earned both several military decorations including the Meritorious Service Medal for exceptional leadership and an Air Force Commendation Medal.

After his time in the F-15, Lt. Colonel Kerby transitioned to the F-4 Phantom becoming the first F-4 Heritage Flight Pilot for the USAF in 2005 and one of only two civilian Certified F-4 Flight Instructors in the United States.
