Textron eAviation has acquired substantially all the assets of Amazilia Aerospace GmbH, a developer of digital flight control, flight guidance and vehicle management systems for civil manned and unmanned aircraft.

“We’re excited to welcome Amazilia Aerospace’s talented employees and innovative technologies to the Textron eAviation team,” said Kriya Shortt, President & CEO, Textron eAviation segment. “This integration represents our continued dedication to pushing the boundaries of technology to deliver exceptional solutions for our customers.”

With this integration, Amazilia Aerospace’s workforce of approximately 30 employees and facilities based in Munich, Germany joins Textron eAviation GmbH, part of the Textron eAviation business segment of Textron Inc.

“This acquisition validates the hard work and dedication of our team,” said Christoph Dörhöfer, President and Managing Director of Amazilia Aerospace. “We look forward to joining a company that’s as passionate as we are about advancing aviation technology.”

This addition strengthens Textron eAviation’s focus on impacting the next generation of flight. The former Amazilia Aerospace team will work closely with Textron eAviation’s Pipistrel team on aircraft such as the Surveyor and Nuuva.
