AOPA Expo '04: Seminar Snapshot -- Trying Your Wings Internationally

Flying In Foreign Countries

By ANN Correspondent John Ballantyne

Every wonder what it would be like to fly over the Niagara Falls, down the Rhine River or over the West Coast of Malaysia?

This seminar audience was treated to pictures and first hand descriptions of the practical side to flying in Canada, Malaysia and France. As three presenters offered tales of flight into their enticing homelands, we were lifted into the realization that our FAA private pilot certificate really does make international flight possible.

The host was John Sheehan, Secretary General of the International Council of Aircraft Owner and Pilot Associations (IAOPA).

IAOPA represents pilots and aircraft operators in 58 countries and words to promote and protect general aviation and aerial work interests. IAOPA made possible this international glimpse of private aviation worldwide.
