First Global Aircraft Delivered To NetJets

Company Has 670 Airplanes On Order For Its 'Signature Series'

The first Bombardier Global aircraft has been delivered to Berkshire Hathaway's NetJets, the first of hundreds of airplanes the fractional management company has on order. The airplane is a Global 6000 aircraft, and is the first NetJets Signature Series aircraft to enter the marketplace. NetJets formally accepted the aircraft at a special ceremony in Montreal at Bombardier’s Global Completion Center, and then the aircraft flew to NetJets corporate headquarters in Columbus, OH, where it was welcomed into the fleet at a special “homecoming” event.

“This is the first all-new aircraft of the 670 we have on order,” said NetJets Chairman and CEO Jordan Hansell. “We have been successful in selling all the shares in this Global 6000 aircraft and we are excited about taking delivery because it kicks off the overall renewal of our fleet, beginning today. Our customers expect the very best from the worldwide leader in private aviation and we are confident that the Signature Series Global 6000 aircraft will exceed their exacting expectations.”

“When we handed over the ceremonial keys to NetJets at NBAA just a few weeks ago it marked a momentous occasion that embodies the partnership we are building," said Steve Ridolfi, President, Bombardier Business Aircraft. "Today NetJets has unquestionably become part of the Bombardier Business Aircraft family. We strive for excellence, and our customers don’t just expect it, they demand it. And this Global 6000 jet is another demonstration of the excellence that our Global Completion Center is capable of.”

The addition of the NetJets Signature Series Global 6000 aircraft to the NetJets worldwide fleet is part of NetJets’ plan to add up to 670 new aircraft with a total value of $17.6 billion over the next decade. In addition to the Global family of aircraft, the company will be adding, among others, the following aircraft over the next 10 years: Bombardier Challenger jets including the Challenger 300 and Challenger 605 Series jets, the Cessna Citation Latitude and the Embraer Phenom 300.
