StandardAero Springfield Facility Signs Agreement With Embraer

StandardAero To Support Business And Commercial Embraer Aircraft Operators With Modification Services

StandardAero Business Aviation has signed an agreement with Embraer to provide modification services for Embraer operators of commercial and business aviation aircraft. The agreement allows StandardAero to provide OEM supported modifications to Embraer operators through the company’s Springfield, Illinois, Organization Designation Authority (ODA).

“By utilizing our unique experience, we can reduce the turn time of many fleet modification programs offering full support including engineering and certification,” said Marc McGowan, President of StandardAero Business Aviation. “Utilizing our ODA can help operators reduce aircraft downtime and increase productivity at our three Embraer Authorized Service Centers located in Los Angeles, Houston and Augusta, Georgia. “

An alternative to FAA-direct certification services, StandardAero delivers shorter STC certification times that can reduce down time for both business and commercial aviation customers. StandardAero’s ODA is not tied to a specific FAA Repair Station allowing the company to perform certification work for customers in approved facilities anywhere around the world.

In addition to many engine, airframe, large radome, special mission and avionics modifications already in place, StandardAero holds hundreds of STCs for partial and full interiors including fully functional galleys, passenger seating changes, new lavatories, cabinets, oxygen systems, potable water, waste water, 120VAC/60Hz electrical supply and distribution, etc. The company has an extensive library of STC projects that have been completed since 1974.
