Several Duncan Aviation STCs Receive DGAC Validation

Gives Aircraft Owners And Operators In Mexico A Variety Of Options

Duncan Aviation’s Engineering & Certifications Services Department (ECS) is pleased to announce that it has received validation from the Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGAC) in Mexico for more than a dozen of Duncan Aviation’s Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs). Duncan Aviation’s ECS has made all of the STCs available for sale for work on aircraft registered in Mexico.

Ten of the approved STCs cover the installation of Digital Flight Data Recorders (DFDRs) in 25 makes and models of aircraft, and an additional 11 approved STCs cover the installation of Traffic Collision Avoidance System II (TCAS II) on 22 aircraft makes/models:

  • Owner/operators of aircraft registered in Mexico now have several options to obtain the Duncan Aviation STCs.
  • Schedule time for installation at any of Duncan Aviation’s DGAC-authorized Satellite Avionics Shops, which are in Scottsdale, Arizona; Van Nuys, California; Denver, Colorado; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Austin, Dallas and Houston, Texas
  • Schedule time at any of Duncan Aviation’s full service facilities (Battle Creek, Michigan; Lincoln, Nebraska or Provo, Utah) to get work done
  • Buy the STC and have the installation done at a Honeywell-certified Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) in Mexico or
  • Buy the STC from Duncan Aviation and have the work done at any licensed Honeywell dealer.

“The approval of these STCs is the result of how hard the Engineering & Certification Services team here at Duncan Aviation works to make sure our customers around the world can benefit from the work we do,” says Manager of Engineering & Certification Business Development Shawn Carraher. “Our entire approach to making our engineering and certification services available to the global community focuses on the future and is based on our customers’ needs.”
