Operations Of Aeros 40D Sky Dragon Airship Begin In China

Advertising and Broadcasting Planned For 153-Foot Long High-Tech Blimp

Airship manufacturer Worldwide Aeros Corp announced the successful first flight, March 27, of its FAA Type Certified Aeros 40D Sky Dragon airship, "the most technologically advanced on the market," according to the company.

The company began operations in China; Worldwide Aeros is headquartered in Tarzana, CA.

According to Aeros Project Manager Shenny Yao, the blimp is being used for advertising and broadcasting missions.
"The Aeros 40D is an ideal airborne platform for such tasks, keeping the cost of operation to a minimum," she said.
Advertising with the Aeros 40D airship is all about "name recognition," according an Aeros press release. "People always remember the blimp they saw in the sky and the message it carried."

"Equipped with state-of-the-art broadcasting cameras, the Aeros 40D becomes a perfect long endurance airborne broadcasting platform. The ability to loiter over special events allows the airship to provide excellent footage angles whether it is a sporting event, concert or any other occasion."

According to Aeros pilots, the Aeros 40D Sky Dragon airship handles unlike any other; it offers much better maneuverability and incorporated technologies allow for a reduction of the pilots' work load.

"I thoroughly enjoy every minute flying the Aeros 40D and entirely appreciate the comforts and user friendly systems," said Aeros Chief Pilot Jim Miller.

"With over 20 years of operational experience and the most knowledgeable crew, Aeros is committed to providing excellent service" said Yao.

Aeros, the world's leading lighter-than-air, FAA-certified aircraft manufacturing company, is involved with the research, development, production, operation and marketing of Aeros-branded air vehicles used in government and commercial applications, including non-rigid FAA Type Certified Aeros 40D Sky Dragon Airships, Advanced Tethered Aerostatic Systems and New Type Rigid Air Vehicle - Aeroscraft.
