The S.S. Alan Poindexter Cygnus spacecraft successfully completed its rendezvous and berthing procedures with the International Space Station earlier this week.

This marks the company’s sixth successful berthing with the orbiting laboratory, and the fifth under NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services contract. An Orbital ATK Antares medium-class rocket launched Cygnus into orbit on October 17, marking the return of flight operations to NASA Wallops Flight Facility in Wallops Island, Virginia.  Jeppesen has been working closely with the pilot community and leading experts to enhance its standard instrument departure charts, known as SIDs, and standard terminal arrival route charts, referred to as STARs. The goal is to increase situational awareness and reduce 'head-down' time while referencing chart information. The new worldwide IFR charts will be introduced over time, starting this December for airports in Europe and the U.S. While the United States is implementing its new drone regulations which open up new avenues for commercial operators, the Supreme Administrative Court in Sweden has placed strict limitations on the use of camera-equipped drones in the country, and that has a lot of people crying foul. The court ruled that drones equipped with cameras are surveillance devices, and can only be used with a special permit which limits them to crime and accident prevention. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
