Boeing Names Moran To Lead Relations With European Union, NATO

Will Work With All European Institutions To Represent Boeing's Interests

Brian Moran has been tapped by Boeing as president of European Union and NATO Relations. Moran, 35, will be responsible for working with all European institutions and representing Boeing interests at the EU, European Parliament and NATO. Moran, who will be based in Brussels, Belgium, succeeds Antonio De Palmas, who has been appointed president of Boeing Italy.

Moran will report to Shep Hill, president, Boeing International, and senior vice president, Business Development and Strategy.

“Boeing is an integral part of the European aerospace community, with customers, suppliers and employees throughout the region,” said Hill. “We will continue working within the EU to advance solutions that strengthen the success, safety and environmental performance of our industry and ultimately make our customers stronger. Brian's background and experience uniquely position him for this assignment as he will build on the excellent work by Antonio De Palmas to reach these strategic goals.”

Prior to this role, Moran led Boeing International activities in Northern Europe. Based in Berlin, Germany, Moran helped to develop government and industry relationships, working closely with Boeing’s businesses to identify and assess new opportunities. Previously, Moran was director of Communications for the Business Development & Strategic Integration organization of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, where he led a team focused on the development, integration and delivery of strategic messaging in the areas of product and services strategy, aviation and environmental policy and international strategy.

Moran also has served as senior manager of International Business Development for the Nordic region, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Based in London, he led the development and management of Boeing’s industrial participation programs in those countries. Among previous assignments at Boeing’s defense business, Moran served as chief of staff to the president and CEO.

Moran holds a dual degree in international business and French from Lindenwood University and a master’s degree in business administration from Washington University’s Olin School of Business. He also completed a Brookings Institution fellowship in Washington, D.C. Moran was born and raised in Belgium and speaks English, German and French.
