RC Helicopter Pilots Try For World Record

Attempting To Fly The Largest Number Of Model Helos Indoors

The British Model Flying association will try to set a record Saturday for the largest number of model helicopters to be flown indoors at the London Model Engineering Exhibition at Alexandra Palace.

The attempt will take place at 11 am local time Saturday, according to a  report in the Haringey Advertiser. The pilots will be flying their own model helicopters. To attain the record, the aircraft must maintain a steady hover over a fixed point for a minimum of three minutes.

The current record is 31. It is not yet known how many aircraft will be involved in the attempt.

The attempt will take place in a netted flying area on the Model Active Zone at the show.
