A Rotary-Winged Milestone: Rotorway Sells 800th Exec 162F

That's A LOT of Sport Helos!

For those of you who have followed the rotary-winged aspect of sport aviation, here is a milestone that can't but help to impress you. RotorWay International has just sold the 800th Exec 162F helicopter kit. The aircraft went to RotorWay International South Africa, the newest representative for the company.

Richard Chase, the head of RI South Africa, has been RotorWay’s representative for the last three months and in that time has had a “tremendous amount of interest in the Exec 162F”.

“We have been extremely busy attending exhibitions and fly-ins, responding to the many inquiries from the Discovery Wings series ‘A Chopper is Born’, working with magazines for editorial coverage on the continent, and handling actual sales and service,” says Chase.

“It’s been quite an exciting start and even more so now that we have contributed to RotorWay International’s 800th sale of an Exec 162F helicopter.”

According to Brent Marshall, VP Sales for RotorWay International, “the Exec 162F continues to be the worldwide leader in the kit helicopter industry. We’re very proud of that”. The employee-owned company sells approximately 100 helicopter kits a year and has aircraft in over 52 countries around the world.

RotorWay International, the world’s oldest and largest manufacturer of kit helicopters, produces the award-winning Exec 162F. Located in Chandler, AZ, USA, they “can’t wait to hit the 900th sold mark”, says Marshall. “Stay tuned because there are a lot of exciting things ahead for this company and our products.”
