Military aviators eyeing separation got another data point to consider before filing their paperwork - a $50,000 bonus aimed at keeping the USAF's investments in the service. The bonuses come under the Legacy Aviation Bonus Program, which builds off the previous bonus with a bump from its previous monetary cap of $35,000 per year up to $50,000 per year. Cicaré Helicopter Models to Appear in Popular Flight-Sim Software

Microsoft and X-Plane Facsimiles Planned

Cicaré USA—the U.S. subsidiary of the Argentine helicopter manufacturer founded by Augusto Cicaré—has entered into cooperative agreements to develop 3D models and facsimile flight controls specific to the company’s Cicaré-8 and SVH-4  helicopters. Subject agreements have been struck with Fast Cow Productions and Pro Flight Trainer LLC for purpose of seeing the aforementioned Cicaré helicopter models represented in the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and X-Plane flight simulation platforms.

Air India continued its growth with a pretty hefty order for up to 290 new aircraft from Boeing, with a hearty mix of almost every passenger aircraft in the catalog. Honeywell Aerospace, the storied North Carolina-headquartered aero-engine and avionics marque, unveiled a new High-Efficiency Mode (HEM) upgrade for its 131-9B Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) for Boeing 737 aircraft. The high efficiency connoted by the APU upgrade’s appellation derives in part of an innovative and efficient software-controlled diffuser that autonomously regulates airflow to the APU compressor section. Analysis: The pilot, who was the co-owner/co-builder of the experimental amateur-built airplane, was departing on a local flight. The other co-owner/co-builder of the airplane witnessed the accident takeoff and stated that the airplane’s pitch attitude was “a little steep” and that the airplane looked slow as it approached 150 ft above ground level in the climb.
