UVU Aviation Becomes Pilot Pathway Partner with SkyWest

$15K In Tuition Reimbursement Possible

Utah Valley University School of Aviation Science has partnered with SkyWest Airlines to provide students with a clear path to the commercial aviation field upon graduation. The SkyWest Pilot Pathway Program offers enrolled student pilots one-on-one mentorship opportunities, enhanced company seniority, guaranteed final interview with SkyWest Airlines and $15,000 in tuition reimbursement.

“UVU Aviation is proud to be affiliated with SkyWest Airlines through their Pilot Pathway Program,” aviation department chair, Randy Johnson, said. “The tuition reimbursement aspect of that program will be a tremendous help to our students and will help provide SkyWest with a supply of highly qualified First Officers.”

“SkyWest is proud to partner with flight programs in our home state that provide a commitment to aviation,” said Tracy Gallo, SkyWest Airlines vice president of flight operations. “We focus on recruiting the industry’s best, and UVU students now have a direct career path to joining the SkyWest team of professional aviators through our Pilot Pathway Program.”

Eligible students will earn membership in the program while still completing their degree at UVU, and following a successful guaranteed final interview, have potential to walk straight into a job with SkyWest upon graduation. Plus, receive the benefit of having a large chunk of tuition reimbursed.

This unique partnership will only benefit students in the aviation program at UVU and creates advancement opportunities for students by helping them find employment post-graduation. This partnership and program incentivize students to build exceptional flight skills and classroom knowledge for careers in aviation.
