Intrepid Celebrates Delivery Of Second 747-8 Freighter To AirBridgeCargo Airline

Will Play A Central Role For For The Global Logistics Company

Intrepid Aviation has announced the acquisition of a new 747-8 Freighter (747-8F) from the Boeing Company on September 15. The aircraft was placed on long-term lease with AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC), a part of the Volga-Dnepr Group, and one of the world’s leading air freight operators.

This is the second of two new 747-8F aircraft that Intrepid acquired from Boeing and leased to ABC this year. Distinguished by its nose loading capability, the 747-8F is a unique aircraft that will play a central role in the global logistics and supply chain for decades to come.

The delivery is in keeping with ABC’s plan to become an all-B747-8 Freighter operator over the next several years. The aircraft will enter service with ABC as it enjoys a very strong growth trajectory in 2017, with year-on-year cargo volume up over 15% through July.
