Air Force Week In Central Florida Ramps Up Social Media Efforts

Launches Web Site And Facebook Page To Publicize Events

As hosts of Air Force Week in Central Florida, and with a theme of Honoring Hometown Heroes, the 45th Space Wing has created a Facebook page and a Web site to publicize the week's activities.

Facebook.com/AirForceWeek and AirForceWeek.af.mil will be updated as the events and performances are finalized. Events will span from October 26th to the 31st.

"The Air Force is going to be all over Central Florida showing how we contribute to the fight both from right here and from downrange," said Lt. Col. John Brodeur, Air Force Week Central Florida director. "This is an opportunity for us to interact with the community and for the community to say thank you to the heroes in uniform that live and work here."

The Air Force is bringing in bands, honor guards, and many other displays showcasing its vast traditions and the incredible impact it has on national security across the globe.  The week will culminate with the Cocoa Beach Air Show at the Cocoa Beach Pier October 30 and 31.
