SocialFlight Teams-Up With Cessna To Support General Aviation

Will  Coordinate Social Media For Cessna's 2013 Discover Flying Challenge

SocialFlight has teamed-up with Cessna to host the event tracking and aviation social media for Cessna’s 2013 Discover Flying Challenge, further establishing SocialFlight as the industry-wide calendar for General Aviation.

SocialFlight’s mission is to support and energize General Aviation by giving pilots places to go and more reasons to fly. The SocialFlight event database includes activities important to pilots such as Aircraft Fly-in's, Air Shows, Pancake Breakfasts, Conventions, FAA Safety Seminars and much more. SocialFlight users can search for events, add events, chat, upload photos, get email notifications, send event notices to their friends and even add events automatically to their Google or Outlook calendar.

SocialFlight has grown rapidly since its launch only nine months ago, reaching over 18,000 users and over 3,500 aviation events in 2013 alone. “The ease of use and accessibility of SocialFlight makes it simple for pilots to follow the Discover Flying Challenge from any device.” said Jodi Noah, senior vice president for Cessna’s Propeller Aircraft. “Teaming up with SocialFlight to spread the word about Cessna’s Discover Flying Challenge was natural fit. Both of us are working to share the passion of flying with both pilots and aviation enthusiasts.”

The pilots of the Discover Flying Challenge will be utilizing the Free SocialFlight mobile app and web site to manage their itinerary, mapping out all of the appearances the aircraft will be making at fly-ins, air shows, FBOs, and Cessna Pilot Centers across America.

In addition, SocialFlight will host a dedicated “Hangar Page” within the SocialFlight app, where the program’s pilots will be sharing their experiences and photos of their travels. SocialFlight users can simply search for “DiscoverFlyingChallenge” using the “Search for other users” feature within the SocialFlight app.
SocialFlight is a FREE App available on the iTunes App Store for iPhone and iPad. It is also available on the Google Play Store for Android phones and tablets.
