High School Students Preview Aviation Program

Open House Held Tuesday At Pellston Regional Airport

As the aviation program at Pellston High School in Pellston, MI gets set to welcome its first students in the fall, some of those prospective students got a preview of the program at an open house held Tuesday at Pellston Regional Airport.

The Petoskey News reports that there were several airplanes on display, and students and parents got some hands-on experience with simulators set up for the event.

Attendees also had an opportunity to participate in Young Eagles flights during the event.

The program is set to begin in the fall. It will be open to students from the Alanson, Pellston, and Harbor Springs school districts. There will be slots for about 15 students, according to school officials.
