Acrohelipro Ready To Help In ADS-B Implementation In Gulf Of Mexico

Over 450 Trial Installations Performed To Date

In response to the FAA’s recent notification that the highly-anticipated Alaska Capstone project is being integrated into the US Automatic Dependant Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) program, Acrohelipro Global Services, Inc. is notifying operators that it is ready to provide the required upgrade services for operators throughout the Gulf of Mexico region.

"In successfully performing more than 450 ADS-B and glass cockpit installations during the Alaska Capstone program trial, Acrohelipro is exceptionally prepared to assist Gulf of Mexico, and other operators in making the transition to the newer air traffic management systems," explains Elvis Moniz, Director of Avionics for Acrohelipro. "In specific, we have valuable experience that comes with completing over 450 successful installations, and the expertise acquired from working on the initial integration and subsequent trouble-shooting processes that were derived from the implementation of this new, highly-technical system." In addition to these customer-focused advantages, Acrohelipro is capable of supporting the ADS-B installation work from either of its two main avionics facilities; located in Andalusia, Alabama and Langley, British Columbia.

"We continually look for innovative, economical and reliable technologies that will support operators by offering them enhanced reliability and safety," says Moniz. "This is part of our on-going committment to provide our customer’s top-quality, expedient and economical helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul solutions."

In terms of the ADS-B program and Gulf of Mexico operators, this means they have at their disposal an experienced company with a proven track-record for prompt, expert installations and retrofits that meet the new FAA requirements. Moniz states that through the avionics resources available via Acrohelipro’s Andalusia, Alabama facility, the company is strategically positioned to carry out this work, effective immediately.

Acrohelipro Global Services Inc. is a world-leader in providing comprehensive tip-to-tail maintenance, repair and overhaul services for helicopters and components including engines, airframes, avionics components and accessories.

Headquartered in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, Acrohelipro is recognized as one of the province’s top exporters, and as an industry-recognized "employer of choice," with approximately 550 employees at facilities located throughout Canada and the United States.
